Hello, I am Darren and welcome to my photography website.

My love of photography started in about 2008. After experimenting with a number of different types of photography, I found that I most enjoy meeting and working with people and capturing their portraits.

I am primarily self taught, and have completed numerous training courses and workshops ranging from camera setup, studio lighting and post production editing.

In 2019, I approached a local ballet dance school (Edge Dance Studio). After a number of shoots with the school, and learning more about ballet and dance as an art form and career, I realised that dance photography would be my main area of focus. Since then, I have set about gaining experiences and friendships with many dancers and schools across Ireland. 

You maybe asking “What can a non-dancer bring or add to my photoshoot?” As a qualified engineer and project manager, I bring an unparalleled technical element to your shoot. With meticulous planning and organisation, allowing you to relax, have fun and explore your creative side. With dance photography being my main focus, I have been able to train myself to understand what a dancer expects and requires from a photoshoot. This is due to my exposure to elite professional dancers in Ireland.  Also, I have built business relationships with ballet dancer and teachers who can be available to help on your shoot day if you so require.
